Cherries in grappa with confectioner’s custard
A sophisticated dessert that’s full of “spirit”
Add an original, irresistible touch to delicious confectioner’s custard with Da Ponte Cherries in Prosecco Grappa, which is one of the distillery’s specialities. It is made with sweet Vignola cherries, which are steeped in Vecchia Grappa di Prosecco for five months. The delicate custard is wonderfully complemented by the sweet cherries and the flavour of the liqueur, in a highly appealing dessert that presents exclusive taste sensations. Here’s the new recipe presented by the Giallo Zafferano blog!
4 egg yolks
100 g of sugar
40 g of flour
450 ml of milk
Cherries in Da Ponte Vecchia Grappa di Prosecco
Bring the milk to the boil in a saucepan. In the meantime, mix the egg yolks with the sugar and the flour. Stir until you have a smooth mixture. Once the milk begins to boil, add the mixture and cook over a low heat for 2-3 minutes, then turn off the hob and stir briskly to prevent lumps from forming. Leave the mixture to cool, then pour it into little glass bowls. In each bowl, add 2-3 cherries and a tablespoon of cherry-flavoured prosecco grappa.
