Circular economy in the Prosecco Hills
The distillery will be part of “Vite in circolo”
The Andrea Da Ponte distillery is proud to announce that it will be taking part in the first “Vite in Circolo” circular economy event. The initiative will offer the public an opportunity to learn more about this extremely topical issue, which is seen by some as the only real way to give a tangible response to environmental problems.
The distillery has been selected because its production cycle not only involves a humble ingredient like pomace but also sees waste material from distillation being used to fuel biomass boilers that were installed as long ago as 1983. The distillery has also had a waste heat recovery system since 1986 and it began producing biogas in 1989.
The event will take place from 17 to 19 September 2021.
